(This will also help Dr. Theresa give you better feedback on your Intro, Task, and Conclusion.) Then you will write your first drafts of your Introduction and Conclusion.

Introduction
Who doesn’t dream of becoming a famous young actor/actress? Who wouldn’t risk a chance at getting their 15 minutes of fame, or even creating a future in acting? An online organization called, Teens Against Drugs and Alcohol, is looking for the next young actors/actresses to hire for a specific task. This is your opportunity; will you take a chance at fame?

Task
You are a team of four up and coming Actors/Actresses. You are creating 5-10 minute iMovie to be submitted to TeensAgainstDrugsandAlcohol.org. This organization is searching for a series of short clips for their website homepage. Your iMovie is about drug and alcohol prevention and avoidance behaviors. Your job as actors/actresses is to create accurate real-life scenarios that students in high school can empathize with. You need to show the viewers how to recognize threatening situations involving drugs and alcohol and how to appropriately respond to the situations. If your movie is selected, you will be a role model for young adults watching, so take this role seriously. Be creative! There will be a viewing ceremony before the board of director of the website of your final product.

Conclusion
Now that you have finished and submitted your iMovie to TeensAgainstDrugsandAlcohol.org, you have demonstrated your understanding of the negative effects of drugs and alcohol on a person’s body and life. You have also shown your ability to apply refusal skills in threatening situations. Your iMovie has shown sample situations and examples of potential preventative measures and avoidance behaviors that can be used to protect oneself from using drugs and alcohol in the real world. These are skills that you can take and apply into your own life, to continue to set an example and be a role model for other young people who may not know how to protect themselves from situations involving drugs and alcohol.
